When buying
- Meet in a public, busy place during the day.
- Inspect the item carefully before you pay.
- Never send money in advance to someone you have not met.
- For vehicles and property, verify the original papers and the seller’s CNIC.
When selling
- Accept cash in person and check the notes before handing over the item.
- Never share OTP codes, bank PINs or card details.
- Do not hand over the item before payment is complete.
Rule of thumb: if a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is. Walk away.
